Lets hear some realistic predictions on the bama game next week..I know we are supposed to lose but lets say we pull of the upset of the decade, whats our next week rank going to look like? Although we are young, we have a ton of talent and I feel like this is going to be a special season!

I say we move up to 12/13 if we were to win.

If we play them tough, but still lose, which is what I expect, we stay in the rankings.

Don't plan on us winning. Watch the Bama/CSU game; they've got second stringers playing by the start of the second half if not halfway through the second quarter. No way Saban keeps anyone who starts on the field, especially with us coming to town the next week.

Gino Toretto on Sirius XM College Sports when asked if LSU or Ole Miss could beat 'Bama this year.

"LSU probably has the defense to do it, but Ole Miss versus 'Bama? Won't even be a game!"

I think we can score 28-30 on Bama. Just not sure what we can hold them to. This is Bama not a reeling Texas team. But don't count us out. The first step is believing.

I honestly feel like we play them tough.. I think we come up short but gain a ton of praise for it. Realistically I think this one ends up Alabama 42- Rebs 35

I have these observations: the talking heads on TV keep talking about LSU being under the radar. Maybe. But I really think it's Ole Miss that's still under the radar. We're not getting the kind of credit for the Texas win that we would have gotten had they not been beaten so bad by BYU. Meanwhile, I've heard pundits talk about us going 0-4 against 'Bama, Auburn, A & M and LSU. Even if that happened (which I don't think will), we would still have a great shot at 8-4 with our closing schedule. 1-3 and we have a shot at 9-3. And, yes, if we split the next four, we have a shot at a 10-win regular season. What about the unthinkable? You know what I mean.

We'll know a lot more about Auburn and LSU after this weekend. But I'm not counting us out of any game remaining on our schedule. We're in a good position right now--getting some pub, but most out there still don't think we can beat 'Bama, A & M or LSU. But they're the ones getting the hype--not us. Yet. And, yes, I was surprised to see 'Bama give up so many points and so many yards to A & M. So, do we have a high-octane, hurry-up offense with lots of weapons? Last time I looked, we did.

Hugh Freeze is going to be a great coach for us. Ready for the long, fun ride?

Titles R Us--Once again we are on the same page. These are relatively young men playing on both teams, and anything can happen. I've seen it both ways.

The fact is that if Ole Miss and Alabama played ten times, each team would win some of those games. We just need for September 28 to be one of our wins.

The first step is believing. Coach Freeze will have the team believing.

I agree completely. We are definitely under the radar....And who has LSU played??

TCU that subsequently lost to Texas Tech and are not the team everyone made them out to be. UAB?
Kent State? Seriously??

Everyone here in NOLA is saying LSU is clicking this year BUT WHO HAVE THEY PLAYED? I can't wait to watch them against Auburn this week and see how they stack against an SEC opponent. Go Tigers (Auburn)!

We came close to beating LSU last year in Tiger Stadium. This year these kids BELIEVE....and the freshman starters don't have all those doubts from past years. All they know is winning....that does a lot for confidence.

I don't think we'll beat Bama, but I believe we will be in the game until mid-way of the 4th quarter. And being under the radar is a good thing....we may catch some of the cocky SEC teams off guard!

I'm thinking we'll come out 2-2 in the next four weeks: losses to Bama & A&M, wins over LSU & Auburn.

It's a great time to be a Rebel fan!! Glad I bought my season tickets in February after signing day!!

If we played our best and Bama plays their best, we lose. But, maybe they won't play their best and we will. I don't think we will catch them snoozing though. A Bama fan told me that somebody asked Lacy on media day of the National Championship what team was the toughest team they played all year... He didnt say A&M, he didnt say LSU, didnt say UGA.. He said it was us because of how physical we were.
The key is not us scoring points. We will be fine there.. The problem is stopping them. Our Dline did a beautiful job of guessing right on the slants last year, to keep them from running wild. I don't think their Oline is as good as last year, but their WRs, QB, and RBs are so talented.. The real challange will be to keep them under 30 to have a shot to win. Mccarron is very underrated. Hopefully he will not be on his game that one day. I would think the line would be somewhere around +12 to +15..

If the Rebs beat Bama -- and it is not impossible -- I could see them bumping up to 11 or 12 in the polls. Hang tough & lose by the same sort of margin as A&M did, and the Rebs maintain in the mid-teens. Lose honorably & they may stay ranked. But seriously, polls are meaningless at this point (except to placate fans & sportswriters).

For the Bama-Auburn-TAMU-LSU stretch, any game is winnable (and losable). But all factors being equal, I'd expect the Rebels to come out of it 2-2. I wouldn't be surprised to see them come out of that stretch 3-1. For this team at this point in its development, 2-2 would raise some eyebrows (not mine, obviously), and 3-1 would have pundits, fans & oddsmakers scrambling!

4-0 would be seismic! And it really could happen! :D

The big worry through this stretch I think is keeping the team focused for the Auburn game.

You're right Sardis, with that tough stretch, I hope we don't look past Auburn. That could come back to bite us in the rear. Every game in SEC play is crucial and we need to look at each one like its for everything. If you sleep on any sec team you can almost assure a loss. We are playing great ball right now but we still have to stay on the gas the ENTIRE Bama game. We can't afford a coast quarter like we usually have. If we play our best ball for 4 straight quarters, we win that game.I'm past excited, dang near having a anxiety attack... I don't know if I can wait another week lol

I don' think that we will look past anyone. Coach Freeze will keep them focused on playing one game at a time.

I think we lose to Bama. But that's not why I stopped in to post.
There is this 1% of me that believes we can pull the upset of all upsets.

I feel like if our offense takes the time of possession and we score a TD on every drive, the outlook gets brighter. But I'm smart enough to know that Saban will study all week to take away our read option running game, forcing us to beat them with Wallace's arm and downfield vision. Their defense won't have to put 2 men on one receiver like our other opponents have done so far.

And I'm pretty sure we won't be able to score on every offensive drive. Can we stop them consistently? Is TAMU's defense alot worse than ours? We'll see.
