On one hand, I wanted Georgia to beat Auburn to go with Rebchuck's best case bowl scenario from another thread:
Rebchuck18 wrote:I think Cotton is still a possibility if the following things happen, all of which are possible:
1) We win out
2) A&M loses to LSU and Mizzou
3) Auburn loses to Georgia and Alabama
That gives A&M 4 losses, LSU 3 losses, Auburn 3 losses and Mizzou 2
LSU will not travel as well with 3 losses, Mizzou would likely get the Sugar. The Florida bowls woukd likely get Auburn, GA and SC. That makes the Cotton a possibility. If we don't win out, we could wind up in Nashville.
But on the other hand, I wanted Georgia to lose to help move Ole Miss back into the Top 25 (still aggravated that Texas and LSU are both ahead of us) . But will Georgia's heartbreaking near victory still keep them in and keep us out??
No way Georgia stays ranked. I think we almost have to be back in or the system is rigged!!!! Another top 25 matchup next week in the late game on ESPN in Mid November. How awesome is that??
Agreed. Georgia is out period and we will get back in if for no other reason to help boost TV ratings and interest in the Mizzou match. I mean, I would hope that we would be in regardless, but with that game looming I believe solidifies a ranking.
Well I'm seeing that 23 (Miami), 24 (Texas), and 25 (UGA) all lost today.
So yea, we should get in.....but then I think we should already have been in.
I don't think we'll necessarily get Game Day though. Other key match-ups next week are TAMU @ LSU (yawn....no NC implications) and Baylor @ Ok State......this could be where Game Day ends up. Baylor just scored 2 TDs in less than 2 minutes to come from behind against Texas Tech. Ok State beat Texas. And you figure Gameday will be in Auburn following week for Iron Bowl. Can't do too much SEC.....
Although producer Lee Fitting has said that he likes to go where the best story is.....
LSU lost out on their SEC championship hopes at Vaught Hemingway.....will Mizzou do the same??? Although one loss at Ole Miss will likely NOT keep Mizzou out of the SEC championship game as the rep from the east. So..???
Our three losses are still to three Top Ten teams. Not sure that's true of anybody else in the country. We will be ranked in the AP Poll since we were 26th last week. Don't know what's wrong with the Coaches' Poll. There are 7 SEC coaches with votes (not Freeze, though), and we only got 6 votes last week.

Oh I would BET THE HOUSE that it was Les Miles not voting for us!!
He -- and the rest of the LSU faithful -- STILL can't believe they lost to us.
Oh and I just checked Lee Fittings Twitter page and he says Stillwater is the front-runner for Gameday next week.
If we take care of business for the last 3 games of this year and the first 4 of next year, then Gameday (and yours truly) should be in Oxford on Oct. 4, 2014!
