We have running backs. Mathers was having a good night and for the kind of runs we needed, Wilkins and Dodson would have done well. Instead we kept throwing walton into the middle of the line. Midway through the third quarter, we were averagibg 6.2 yards per carry (more then Lsu) and mathers was averaging more than fournette. That's whem we decided to abandon the back with the hot hand and throw walton (averaging 2.4 yards per carry) into the back of the guards over and over and over.
I think Freeze should consider hiring an OC. My opinion [which means squat] is maybe Freeze isn't totally sold on Bo, but has no other option this year. Both Freeze and Bo had their worst games last night. We need to open up the offense, cause we sure can't run it. Our oline is horrible.

I personally think that Freeze is afraid of Bad Bo to the point that he doesn't trust him to run the O as he wants it. The final play the other night being the brightest example. BTW, I personally agreed w/ the decision to take the shot at the EZ, but everybody knows that the throw has 2 options. Jump ball TD or out of the back of the EZ. I agree that Freeze believes he is the best option at this time. I truly expect to see a HUGE amount of Buchanan vs. Pres.

In absolutely no way is our running woes on the backs. There are difference makers at RB, but they arent that common. Girley is special. The run game is on the O line getting any kind of push. Look at lsu.. They didnt get touched near the LOS. We were getting stuck in the backfield frequently. This could be the worst O-line since Freeze and Luke and have been in town. O line has been the weak link of this team since game 1. It hasn't been magnified because Bo has been a lot sharper in previous games. In our offense if the run game isn't there, Bo has to be around the 60% mark to have any sort of shot. It's all about positive plays. 2nd and 12 doesn't work if your qb is having an off day.
