read this on the other board....players comments
Senior wide receiver Vince Sanders said the team talked about the game in Fayetteville and then "put it in the trash" and moved on to Mississippi State. Several players _ C.J. Johnson, Cody Prewitt and Laquon Treadwell _ spoke in front of their teammates, touching on the importance of the Egg Bowl.
"We've had time to meet and talk and discuss," Shackelford said. "I like the way this team is feeling going into this game. Of course, this is a game that doesn't take a lot of motivation to get up for.
"Although it's a rivalry, you don't want to make it such a big deal that the players can't play. You want everybody even-keeled and ready to prepare. Saturday is just a result of what you've done throughout the week."
Sanders admitted there's disappointment throughout the team that Saturday isn't what it once seemed destined to be.
"We worked hard all year to be in playoff, so it's disappointing to us that we're not there," Sanders said. "They had the same opportunities we had and they made the best of them. We came up short a couple of games. You have to take your hats off to them because they did what they had to do.
"Overall, you're disappointed, but we're not going to let not being in the playoff affect how we're going to perform on Saturday."
I hope they play their best game of the year!!!

That's great! Too bad we couldn't put the LSU loss behind us... Or the Auburn loss behind us. Hopefully we can actually put the Arkansas loss behind us and move on.
I really hope so, but I won't believe it until I see it.
