So, NU has hired Mike Riley as their coach! They should have just kept Bo at that rate. I could be wrong. I guess we'll see. Interesting Hire for sure!

I know I'm in the minority but I think it's a great hire. Not a grand slam but there's absolutely no risk with him. He's a players coach and the fanbase will love him. He just needs talent. Osu is a terribly hard place to win at and he kept them competitive. If you don't believe me spend some time in Oregon. I alike him to dan Snyder. He always has very good fundamentally sound teams and develops players well. Only issue may be age

That said, I think the Huskers did fine on the short term. If you remember, Riley was the Coach everyone wanted ten or so years ago. He just refused to capitalize. I know for an almost fact that USC wanted him, but after he declined, they hired Pete Carroll.
