4-0 and looking good

Beat a good team tonight that has 12 players returning from a squad that won the A10 last year. AK made great adjustments at halftime and shut down what was working for St. Joe the first half. Saiz led the Rebels with 26 and 12. We aren't a one man team, and have 3-4 players that can lead us in scoring any night. UMASS and St. Joe's will probably be top 100 wins. UMASS beat Temple the next game after losing to us. We only lose 2 players off this team to join a very good recruiting class. The future looks hopeful for our basketball program. Averaging 88 points a game, we've had 4 different guys hit 19 or more points in a game.

Next up Creighton: who is also 4-0 and currently averages 95 points per game. Looks like it should be a good match up....

Creighton is #12 in the country, and a 10 point favorite over us. If we beat them I'll get overly excited. I'm hoping for a good showing as I don't see us beating them. They're a veteran team, although St. Joe's were too, and they went 28-8, and returned 12 players from last year, and made it to the second round of the dance last year. But Creighton is a better team than we are, best in this tourney. We'll get an idea of where we are tonight. Saiz got SEC player of the week.

Other than Ky., we may not play a better team this year. They hit 16-26 3 pointers, including starting the second half hitting 8-10 3 pointers. Our pg play was the difference imo. A shame Tyree tore his ACL when he did, preventing him from practicing with the team. Neal is a 2 trying to play the 1. But good job by AK and team. Keep improving and this team will be fun to watch this year. One of AK's better teams
