Houston (where I be) sports radio and paper (Chron.com) are denying it as of now. Saying that nothing is a done deal and still looking at options. Radio says they think it will be a hire from within. They are tired of losing their rising stars to UTX and Aggies so who knows but Tillman Fertitta has deep pockets and wants to make this school a destination hire.

One reason that Kiffen did not get the job is that TX HS coaches like Applewhite and do not like Kiffen. Mash the link below for the details. Interesting thoughts. I know that if I had a blue chip kid and Kiffen walked into my house it would be a big ol' NOPE! His past shows his character and I would not let my son get caught up in his crapola.
