Coach Barnes also signed Jarkel Joiner from Oxford High, one of the top three high school scorers in the nation this year. Jarkel's mom works with me. This kid played ball a couple miles from the Pavilion and AK never even contacted him. He left for California a few days ago to join Coach Barnes' program.

For what ever reason, he had no P5 offers, none. Guess we'll see who's right on this kid. Rod may have gotten a sleeper, or we'll see why he had no P5 offers.

He needs to work on his defense, which Barnes will cultivate well. Not saying we missed on the kid, just following up on Barnes getting players from the south. He can for sure score. His parents wanted him with Barnes all along. Very spiritual family.
