9-3...but yea, ouch. Think we had four straight hits in bottom of first and led 2-0. Offense went cold after that.

Good grief. They didn't even throw their ace.

This is a bad baseball team. It can't hit, and can't play defense. We have no team speed, and the coaching is horrible. Don't think we'll make a regional, and wouldn't even make the SEC tourney if a couple of the other teams weren't so bad. This team is void of talent, and that #1 ranking is proving the people doing the ranking have no idea what they're doing. It's time we made a change, MB needs to go, and new blood needs to be brought in. Mo. started a reliever last night, and he pitched a complete game.

Yeah, fire MB, but keep AK. That might be the dumbest thing you ever posted.

You tout these basketball recruiting sites like they are gospel and now try to disparage the baseball ones.

EVERYONE said there would be growing pains. But, hey, it doesn't matter that 5/6 freshman are playing significantly. Fire Bianco for having an off-season for the 3rd time in 17 years. Geez

MB needs to go, and I think more and more fans are agreeing. I don't think he's going anywhere yet, the football disaster is stopping that. But our baseball program is nowhere where it should be. And our talent level is also no where where it needs to be. Take a look at state, 2nd year coach that is doing very well. Us on the other hand.........

Re: Mizzoue, but the position players aren't 't

It's either the talent or the coaching. I see other teams doing well with freshmen playing. Our freshmen pitchers are doing fine, but our position players aren't. A third of our hitters are batting 215 and below. We have no first baseman. We have top 10 facilities, fan base and venue, yet we aren't seeing rewards we should be seeing. We need new coaches. Last year wasn' a good year either. Last year we went 0-2 in the regionals, this year doubt we even go.

Bianco made this baseball program what it is. This is probably the only sport that people know Ole Miss as a good team on a national level. Talent is not the problem AT ALL. And you think that just because we're not ranked top 5 in the country that our freshmen aren't any good and the people who get paid to evaluate players don't know squat? LMAO, most of those kids were also offered big money to play professionally. So, do the scouts not know either? News flash bud, these teenagers were playing in High school last year and have helped us win a few games this year playing in the best conference in baseball. While I do agree that we need a better hitting coach, I can't say fire Bianco. Also, what other team is playing with as many freshmen as us? while it is true that pitcher was a reliever that started, he is a very good one that has thrown over 40 innings.

This program was the best in the conference back in the 70's. Mike revived it, but it was a national power before. I was joking about our class being overrated, it just shows this class isn't getting the coaching it needs. Mike came along during the big bat era of college baseball under Skip Bertman. And like Skip, he micro-manages who puts a lot of pressure on his players. They look like they play tight. Mike isn't very good at small-ball baseball. Very few players can bunt effectively or handle a bat, look at our strikeouts. Struggles making pitching changes. He's a great guy but he hasn't changed since he's been here, and don't think he'll change now? And the SEC isn't top dog this year in baseball. U should check the rankings. The SEC isn't top dog in any sport this year. And that wasn't the first time a reliever has started and shut us down. Tiger high did it the first game this year. But it was the 3rd baseman, not reliever, if I'm not mistaken.

And I'm ok with Bianco. He's been a picture of stability and has a winning program. Same as AK.
