Not related to NCAA investigation. Seems he made a phone call to an escort service using university phone.
u can never judge a book by how it chews its food
Watched the press conference....sounds like he was going to be fired reguardless. Also, was it me or does it seem like Nutt and his lawyers had something to do with this? All of this is new to me, maybe someone knows more...but that's what it sounded like Bjork insinuated. not sure how I feel about our football program at this point. Definitely not good. Reality is setting in on me as much as I've tried to look at the "bright" side. I was on Feeezes side for he long haul but sounds like he had a bunch of skeletons hiding in the closet. His life changed drastically today, hope he turns it around.
There is a bright side to this . As Paul Finebaum just noted on Espn , Hugh freeze leaving takes the most serious charge levied against the football program off the table ... loss of institutional control . The loss of institutional control charge was levied against hugh personally and with him gone it will help us tremendously . Hugh freeze stepping down will save us from a two year bowl ban
True jrebel....also, I clarified some of my questions from above. Here's what I take from it....
There were I think 6 days that nutt's lawyers requested phone records for their lawsuit, Freeze was allowed to redact personal calls, missed this phone call in question, ole miss thought it was a misdial, proactively dug a little deeper into freezes personal calls, found a pattern of misconduct, and he resigns...

How stupid Freeze must be to use university phones to make these calls? Couldn't afford a separate playtime phone. d*** boy!

Question should be why did Nutt's lawyers pick only 6 days of phone records and not the whole year of 2016. I say and have said there is a mole in the athletic department and heads should roll because of it. Not that Freeze was clean, far from it. But how many more items to other schools have been sent to keep Ole Miss down? Who in the athletic department is a Nutt fan? Or is it a MSU alum working there? Many work for Ole Miss in many capacities. I know of 3 and I am in Indianapolis for goodness sakes. I say clean house and start over AGAIN.WildRebel wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:08 pm True jrebel....also, I clarified some of my questions from above. Here's what I take from it....

So he called an escort service for the entirety of one minute. So what? That should cost him his job? Misdials happen, it's a one minute call when he's in 813 accidentally dials 313 is what I read.

Maybe an intentional leak meant to cause today's result thus saving face for the admins who refused to fire Freeze over the NCAA investigation? Or someone at NCAA leaked info to Nutts.GtownRebel wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:29 pmQuestion should be why did Nutt's lawyers pick only 6 days of phone records and not the whole year of 2016. No mpzreb, Ross and the chancellor pointed out that they found a pattern of hugh constantly calling the escort service over a long period of time going back a few years . He has been calling prostitutes for a long time and got caught

The one "misdial" lead to an inhouse investigation by Bjork which found this a recurring behavior.
