Struggling big time at the plate. I haven’t seen a solid hit all game. Very dumb baseball played in the first inning to give LbS some easy runs. Not a good day for the Rebs. Have to hold in the bottom of 8 and get a couple in the top 9th to win. 4-3 Long Beach in front.
Rebs take first loss of season in game 1. Looked horrible at the plate and now facing a preseason all American ace for game 2. Someone needs to teach them how to hit off speed pitches in between games because it ain’t happening. They sit fastball every pitch and look foolish when they don’t get one.

Yep. I understand you can’t have a catcher sit behind the plate for 2 9 inning games but that doesn’t happen if cooper is back there. Another reason I hate doubleheader’s.
10-0 middle 7th. Cockrell came in to hit off the bench and hit a 2 run bomb into the trees behind the LF wall. 11 hits so far in the game for Ole Miss.
