Down 4-0 already in the 2nd. Weather delay now. Rolison is looking worse as the season progresses. Rebelbear...you might be right saying to switch feigl and Rolison. Not good to be down week after week against the opposing ace. He’s throwing the ball over the heart of the plate in 0-2 counts and they are tagging it. He’s not hitting his spots.

He gained weight over the summer and lost control, speed, and spots. Needs to lose weight and take off a few weeks. Just hurting his chances in draft.
He finally settled in and has looked good since the rough start. Maybe the rain helped him settle down. Don’t look to see him back out in the 6th. I don’t remember how hard he threw last year but he’s hit 94mph several times tonight. Seems he lets the nerves get to him early and can’t hit spots. Once the game gets going he settles in nicely.GtownRebel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:37 pm He gained weight over the summer and lost control, speed, and spots. Bats looking pretty good tonight.
And we lose the first one. Arky hit us pretty good tonight and struck us out 12 times, Dillard had 4 of them. The guy can crush it but he left a few on base that we needed. Let’s bounce back with a big game tomorrow.
Little early to be judging off ERA as some pitchers have only threw a handful of innings. That pitcher Southern started the other day didn’t have a good era and pitched pretty well against us.
Good win tonight. Need a good showing from McArthur tomorrow to seal this important series. Bianco will keep the leash tight. I’d also like to see the bats explode tomorrow. Oh yea, carraci is a dang monster!! Good move by Bianco to switch him and Woolfolk in the closer spot. Woolfolk isn’t looking very sharp this year. Still good, just doesn’t seem as dominant.
I think Ole Miss and Ark may be the best 2 teams in the West. It seemed like every hitter they have in the lineup is hitting .350+ with 5 or more home runs.
Also, side note: the review rules in SEC are about as dumb as I’ve ever seen. Coaches get 2 challenges but the umps can decide to review in the 8th or later. Well Ark used up their 2 challenges early on last night. Then a closenplay at 2nd where Ark runner was called out had Van Horn at the top of the dugout yelling at the umps. They then huddled up and “decided on their own” to review it. What a load of BS. Ark runner was still out after review but Caracci had to stand out there for 6 or 7 minutes waiting.

Yeah I agree with your side note and your main point.rebelbear wrote: ↑Sat Mar 31, 2018 9:10 am I think Ole Miss and Ark may be the best 2 teams in the West. It seemed like every hitter they have in the lineup is hitting .350+ with 5 or more home runs.
