Good Article and tells the story. It all starts with a coach that can recruit on the defensive side and frankly speaking, we don't have any as evident by the numbers.

Recruiting is a reason, but you cannot say Vanderbilt recruits at any higher level on the defensive side of the ball. There is no excuse for the state of the defense.
Excuses don’t coincide with winning.
Mascots are to be seen but not noticed.
When administration puts their self before the fan then the fan gets apathetic.
College football is boring now. Only a couple of teams get everything and the rest need to know their place. NFL isn’t a viable option. I need to go to an Ole Miss hockey game. I’ve really wanted to

Yes I can. If you look at the games against Ole Miss, their defense have done more against Ole Miss than most teams with the exception of Bama. Are they world beaters? No. Are they better than Ole Miss most years? Probably. Coaching has to coach up 3 star players. 4 star players need some tweaking and 5 star players can start for anyone. Look at the down trend on the defensive side of the ball in the article and it tells the story. If you think for a moment that McGriff can coach up the players we have now, I think you are sadly mistaken as proven in the 3 games played so far this year.MageeRebel425 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 9:34 am Recruiting is a reason, but you cannot say Vanderbilt recruits at any higher level on the defensive side of the ball. I agree but somebody thought ok st was good enough to be ranked that high. To me that makes the TT win a semi quality win which is something half the top 25 doesn’t have
